Es heißt, wenn du etwas gehen lässt und es kommt von sich aus zu dir zurück, gehört es zu dir. Es brauchte in meinem Fall auch nur fünf Anläufe bis ich mich traute mich dieser Leidenschaft wirklich ernsthaft zu verschreiben.

Noch bevor ich in Berlin einen Fuß in die Schule setzte, stand ich das erste mal in einer Dunkelkammer und sah wie unter Rotlicht aus dem Nichts ein Bild auf dem Papier erschien. Mit 16 wollte ich Fotografin werden, was mir ausgeredet wurde. Mit 18 fotografierte ich eine ganze Reihe Klassenkameradinnen und die ersten „Kunden“ in meinem Jugendzimmer. Während meines Designstudiums hatte ich Zugang zum hochschuleigenen Fotostudio. 

Als Art Direktorin im Fashion Bereich drehte sich alles um Fotoshootings, Bilder, Layouts und schließlich nahm die Fotografie erneut einen Anlauf in mein Leben durch den Kontakt zu einer Konzert Location.

Meine Arbeiten sind teils beeinflusst von Fashion Einflüssen unter anderem aus meiner Zeit als Art Direktorin für Modelabels. Dazukommt meine Liebe für die Wirkung von Bildern im grafischen Kontext und dem was ein Bild im Rahmen eines Layouts spricht. 

Schwarzweiß Bilder faszinieren mich mit ihrer Direktheit. Sie sind wie ein unmittelbarer Blick auf eine Persönlichkeit, eine Botschaft ohne verschleiernde Filter wie Farben, die schönen und ablenken können.

It is said that if you let something go and it comes back to you of its own accord, then it belongs to you. In my case, it took me only five attempts before I dared to seriously commit myself to this passion.

Even before I set foot in school in Berlin, I stood in a darkroom for the first time and watched how an image appeared on paper from nowhere under a red light. At 16 I wanted to be a photographer, but I was talked out of it. When I was 18, I photographed a number of classmates and my first „customers“ in my bedroom. While studying design I had access to the university‘s own photo studio. As an art director in the fashion sector, for me everything revolved around photoshoots, images, layouts and ultimately photography once again entered my life through the contact to a concert location.

My work is influenced by fashion themes, which is largely due to my time as an art director for fashion labels. I also love the effect of images in a graphic context and what an image in a layout can express. 

The directness of black and white images fascinates me. They reflect an immediate view of a personality, a message without obfuscating filters such as colors, which can beautify and distract.
