Es heißt, wenn du etwas gehen lässt und es kommt von sich aus zu dir zurück, gehört es zu dir. Die Kamera klopfte in meinem Fall nur fünf Mal an meine Tür bis ich mich traute dieser Leidenschaft mehr Aufmerksamkeit zu widmen.

Noch bevor ich in Berlin einen Fuß in die Schule setzte, stand ich das erste Mal in einer Dunkelkammer und sah wie unter Rotlicht aus dem Nichts ein Bild auf dem Papier erschien. Mit 16 wollte ich Fotografin werden, was mir ausgeredet wurde. Mit 18 fotografierte ich eine ganze Reihe Klassenkameradinnen in meinem Jugendzimmer. Während meines Designstudiums hatte ich Zugang zum hochschuleigenen Fotostudio. 

Als Art Direktorin im Fashion Bereich drehte sich alles um Fotoshootings, Bilder, Layouts und schließlich nahm die Fotografie erneut einen Anlauf in mein Leben durch den Kontakt zu einer Konzert Location.

Schwarzweiß Bilder faszinieren mich mit ihrer Direktheit. Sie sind wie ein unmittelbarer Blick auf eine Persönlichkeit, eine Botschaft ohne verschleiernde Filter wie Farben, die schönen und ablenken können.

They say that if you let something go and it comes back to you of its own accord, it belongs to you. In my case, the camera only knocked on my door five times before I dared to devote more attention to this passion.

Even before I set foot in school in Berlin, I stood in a darkroom for the first time and saw an image appear out of nowhere on paper under red light. At 16, I wanted to become a photographer, but I was talked out of it. At 18, I photographed a whole series of classmates in my teenage bedroom. During my design studies, I had access to the university's own photo studio. 

As an art director in the fashion sector, everything revolved around photo shoots, images, layouts and finally photography came back into my life through contact with a concert location.

Black and white images fascinate me with their directness. They are like a direct view of a personality, a message without veiling filters such as colours, which can be beautiful and distracting.
